Hilary zou enkele dagen voor het huwelijk een document ondertekent hebben waardoor ze geen recht zou hebben op de meubel winkels van Mike’s familie ter waarde van zo’n 500 miljoen dollar. Hoewel dit soort zaken nogal wat onrust kunnen veroorzaken zegt een bron dicht bij het stel dat dit niet zo was.

It’s no secret that marriage and Tinseltown don’t always work out well together, and Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie ended up signing a prenuptial agreement before their wedding this past weekend.

According to a report, the “So Yesterday” songstress signed away her rights to Comrie’s family’s $500 million appliance and furniture empire.

Though sometimes prenuptial agreements can be tricky and tense, a source close to Duff said it was just a quick little speed bump on the road to marital bliss.

“It was a totally amicable agreement. They love each other very much and knew this was just a technicality.”

Haylie Duff has shared her thoughts on little sister Hilary’s weekend wedding – and it sounds like it was an amazing evening!

“What a special weekend filled with love and beautiful memories,” the 25-year-old actress – and maid of honor! – wrote on her Twitter.

Hil and hockey player Mike Comrie tied the knot in a sunset ceremony on Saturday. “Mike held his arm around Hilary for most of the romantic, candlelit ceremony, and they both looked extremely happy,” an eyewitness told People.

Hilary, in a mermaid gown by Vera Wang, and NHL hockey player Mike Comrie, 29, said their ?I do?s? in front of a breathtaking sunset and 100 of their closest family and friends.

Hilary was escorted down the aisle by her mother Susan Duff, who was dressed in Badgley Mischka.

Sister Haylie Duff acted as maid of honor with four additional bridesmaids.

But my agent convinced me to go and I got a call back and they ended up choosing me. And I really had a great great time doing it. Great experience.

You know what, she was such a sweetheart to work with. I don’t know her fiancé, he’s a hockey player. [I'm from] North Dakota, so I’m big on hockey. It’s one of those things, you meet somebody who’s really sweet in the industry and my sister was a huge fan of hers growing up. And I don’t know, it’s really cool to see it work. Marriage is very dear to my heart and I hope I get married and it lasts and all those things so by all means I wish you the best Hilary.
